STUDENT LIFE

There are thousands of things to be passionate about at the University of Toronto.

Our clubs, committees, and civic groups reflect the pluralism of Canadian society and the full spectrum of talent across our student community. Try your hand at chess, debate, archery, or calligraphy. Hone your cooking skills, or your coding skills, and learn how to tend a beehive, aquarium, or investment portfolio. Advance a cause you care about. Learn a second language, or a fifth.

ATHLETICS

Whether you’re a national all-star, the neighbourhood MVP, or just an enthusiast, your future teammates need you! With men’s and women’s Varsity Blues teams across 25 sports, and an 11,000-strong intramural community, athletics is a major part of life for our students.

Last year, U of T’s teams racked up a dozen intercollegiate championships in baseball, badminton, fencing, figure skating, golf, mountain biking, water polo, and more. But you don’t have to be an athlete to join up and join in. No matter your skill level, there’s a class for you.

SPORTS & REC

Drop into any of our state-of-the-art facilities to enjoy the largest range of classes, events, and club sports at any Canadian university. Classes include aquatics, ballet, fencing, parkour, squash, kendo, swimming, diving, lifeguarding, strength and conditioning, and more.

VARSITY BLUES

The Varsity Blues program provides competitive sport opportunities at the provincial and national levels for outstanding student-athletes. The program is the largest intercollegiate program in Canada, with 42 teams across 25 sports, and 904 student athletes across all three campuses.

INTRAMURALS

Intramural sports are open to all students and offer varying levels of competition through leagues, tournaments, and special events. Make friends while making game- winning shots!

TRI-CAMPUS LEAGUE

The Tri-Campus League is open to all students and represents the highest level of sport competition outside of the Varsity program. Participants from three campuses develop sport skills with the help of coaches and play in competitive games with registered officials.
